    the evo they are using is a high end racer version... big turbo... but 5th gear doing thirty miles an hour ... turbo's need gases to to "spool" up the rpms in 5th at thirty are so low as to make the turbo an exhaust gas block rather than a power enhancment ..... DO LOVE TOP GEAR THO

      why are there 1st, 2nd, 3rd n 4th before reaching the top gear?
      it is for you to shift up and down in order to get the right power and speed...!!!

      anyway, top gear is a good show to watch :)

    d point of d test was 2 show how puttin such powerful turbo chargers can have an effect on performence in most cars with turo chargers there is turbo lag as shown in this video

      the EVO is NOT bad at all, they're, as said by paki, they're just SHOWING the turbo lag of this gigantic turbo fitted in a 2.0L.
      do you ever step on the gas doin 30mph @ 5th gear????

    • it's because

      they put the evo in 5th gear @ a low speed. The rpms aren't high enough for the turbo to spool. It's a pretty stupid example. It would be similar for any car in a high gear trying to go faster without downshifting.
