  • So ironic

Many Scientologists think Tom Cruise and the behavior of the "church" (as directed by David Miscavige) is offensive to say the least. Privately, they applaud any effort to stop the insanity. The church of Scientology has developed many qualities of a criminal organization. It stands for human rights, but violates the human rights of its members all the time. It stands for free speech, but censors any critical voice. It stands for the uniting of families, yet under David Miscavige hundreds of senior staff are forced to divorce and A******ns are the order of the day. It stands for truth, yet church officials lie through their teeth about such things as disconnection and torture of senior staff.

Many Scientologists would be amazed to know top leaders like Mike Rinder and Marty Rathbun fled the church years ago. Others like Gillaume Leserve, Mark Yager and Ray Mithoff have been "declared" for years. David Miscavige rules in true totalitarian style, with his own version of the Guantánamo Bay Detention Camp where physical, emotional and spiritual torture IS routine. I’m talking about their International headquarters in Hemet California.

While Scientology's original mission was to improve the world; that mission has been corrupted. The actions of the church, as directed by David Miscavige, demonstrate that the church cannot be trusted... actions such as David Miscavige physically assaulting his top aides, bloodying their faces with his fists when they don’t measure up to his own arbitrary standards.

Church members think they are "misunderstood." No, they are in a state of absurd denial and are living in a world that regards them as outlaws. Perhaps when Scientology first started, they were misunderstood. But 50 years is enough to clear up any misunderstanding, especially when they have millions of dollars at their disposal. No, the problem is not “misunderstanding.” The church is not “stigmatized” by people calling it a cult. People who call it a cult are trying to bring truth to the church of Scientology!

David Miscavige doesn't understand that he lives in a world that views him and his "church" as flagrant criminals. The world does not trust the "church of Scientology" in the same way that it does not trust organized crime. The church's mission of help will remain impossibly blocked until sweeping reform takes place and hopefully David Miscavige will go to jail where he belongs.
