The movie is called "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger" and IMHO it not only had the best special effects and the best story albiet if not the most memorable or beloved Ray Harryhausen...
Oh and Harryhaussen are way cooler than CGI even if they are not as "real" they were always meant to be fantastic and inspired a generation of special effects guys.
