This is a cool car you have to see it.
most likely option...
as far as someone else saying steam, and thingking that it is the only source of water vapor ... they have never seen LH... liquid hydrogen ... expand in free air at normal ambient temperature ... mixes with oxygen ... you get h2o .. and as far as horsepower ... that unit of measurement is not just something assinged to a combustion engine .. if you ever watch or have studied rockets a person would know those "engines" are also used ... most commonly defined as one horsepower = 33000 lb/ft of work done during one minute ...
...one HP (horse power) is the work done by one horse in an hour.....so an engine with 1HP would complete the same amount of work as a horse in the same amount of time...
...or does the definition change with different "engines"?
Are not accurate measurements of "power". They measure work in foot-pounds per minute (how fast you can carry how much weight). As we all know, the amount of energy it takes to move a vehicle depends on other things (aerodynamics and internal friction).
For example, I could double the weight of my car, but it will not take twice as much horsepower to do 60 mph--most of the energy is going to air resistance which doesn't really change with weight.

people hates engineers. They take the emotion out of everything
By vmw 1156791636 Horsepower is defined as work done over time. The exact definition of one horsepower is 33,000 lb.ft./minute. Put another way, if you were to lift 33,000 pounds one foot over a period of one minute, you would have been working at the rate of one horsepower. In this case, you'd have expended one horsepower-minute of energy.
a website that actually choses to provide factual information instead of just someone pulling something out of his ass and thnking hes right...
ever hear of the internet? (it was invented by al gore if you didnt know) well, it is full of usefull information
since the horses may be different from each other, why not engines would be. Also if 1 horsepower is equal to a work done by one horse in a hour, I think it would be silly to compare an engine to a horse that ran like crazy after an hour. The engine power measurement should be changed, since we don\'t see any modified, lowered, pimped up horses on the streets any more.(or never did)

a Rocket tunned Peugeot 206 or a natural Fast Ferrari
just get together and make me 1 and we can put coals, and 1 horse under the hood, fart in the intake and leave hydrogen all over the comp
By playitagain 1158342875A rocket is rated in Pounds of Thrust, not HP. There is a way to convert Lbs of thrust to HP but it depends on the speed of the rocket at any particular point. It's probably 1500 or 15000 Lbs of thrust.
By airguy721 1156733037we got all the einstens and all the mr beans here discussing nuclear physics. rock on...
By FireBaby 1155616134I am cameron... the builder of this "206".First, there is no motor.second, I put a hydrogen rocket base with replacable cartredges in the back seet/trunk. so, yes it is a real hydrogen liquid rocket motor (simmalar to the space shuddle) powered car. I hope this ends all confusion.
By my206rocket 1155400046....the guy claims to be the "builder of the car", how the hell you managed that when you can't even spell
By Strat_Colchester 1155498308It's a Hydrogen Peroxide powered rocket. The same as the Rocket Man uses at carnivals and fairs. The fuel is Hydrogen Peroxide ( no - not the stuff you guys lighten your hair with) and it uses a catalyst to create a violent reaction.
Look it up on the net.
15000 horsepower is not possible in a vehical of that size !!
By slipwrench 1155217381There isnt an extra 0, in that number? JATO's only have about 3000 horse power and thats not five times one of those.
