      That was a kamikaze pilot who survived. Before they could pick him up, he blew himself up with a grenade. In the original clip, you can see him take the grenade out and pull the pin before blowing up. The editing of the video made it look like he was shot.

    sure enough a lot of it is amazing, but it says kamikaze footage and there was only 1 bit with a kamikaze scene and it was repeated later in the vid

  • Amazing what man is capable of


    Reguardless of the why, the various ways of how mankind had managed to make war are amazing. While it can be horribly fascinating to observe from the comfort of a chair by the light of a pc monitor, it makes me wonder how far mankind would have been by now if such collosal effort was put to better causes.

    However, as animals, we are prone to violence, and unfortunately mankind will most likely have a long wait until there is no more war.

    I'm glad the war was won by the side less evil, and I am truelly sorry for those who paid the ultimate price for their service, and at the same time truelly grateful. While the reasons for why the peoples in power who chose war can be argued for or against, the common soldier's cause for serving his brothers and his country are just, and as such, deserve respect.

    Slaughtering men in the water when they can't fight back. That pretty much sums up America's entire war efforts to date. Killing is easy when they can't fight back, just ask the thousands of Iraqis that America has murdered. Sickening, utterly sickening. And of course why use one well-aimed bullet when you can unload an entire machine gun into a man pleading for your help?       But their involvenment in WW2 was just.
      Hitler declared war on USA, and Japan attacked Pearl Harbour without even delaring war.
      Both the nazis and the Japaneese led their war in a way more horiffic way than the US.
