Yes, sometimes it looks like the special effects and 'to make it as horrible as possible' are the only thing which is important in the new movies. A good story, a bit fun and some nice things too, that all so may appair in a horror movie if you ask me. Some new films are good, but some I really can't stand. And they all are missing a very in portant thing...
Dwight doesn't appair in them. I think that would make them a lot better:)

I agree, some new films aren't bad, but most of them are not very good and with horror films it does seem as if they are just trying to make it as disgusting as possible!

And of course any film is made better by Dwight's appearance:) Modern films are missing a lot because he is not in them:)

    • hi;)

yes, I don't understand why some new horror movies have so mutch succes. The things they show in them are so terrible and I'm sur that some people how watch those movies a lot take that as normal.

Dwight makes every movie special:) I 'm very glad that there are so many people how see his talent as well and how think he looks cute.

Did he also played funny plays on stage, because in his films it's always crime, horror and drama.

I think that people do tend to get desensitized by the violent images that they see in some of these new horror films. I don't think that they have to make it as gory as they do. It becomes violent for the sake of being violent, which is bad to me.

Dwight did do comedy on stage, and was very good at it:) He enjoyed doing comedies and wanted to do them on film as well but was never given the chance.

yes, it's I really believe that's very bad. Do you know 'the bobo doll' experiment? In that experiment they prouved what influence violent movie have on people.

oh, it would have been so great to see him in a commedy. He almost always had to play characters, how where unhappy and sad. It would have been great to see him in something diffrent as well. Whey didn't they give him the possibility to do that, if he was so great in it. I wish he got more chances to prouve all his tallent.

I would love to see him tap dancing as well actually.

No, I have never heard of that experiment, but it doesn't surprise me to hear about the results- those kinds of images can and do effect people.

Dwight dealt a lot with type-casting, so he never had the chance to do comedy. We did see traces of his ability to perform comedy in a few of his films (The vampire bat for instance had a few humorous scenes.) But like you I wish that he would have been given more of a chance to do this.

He also danced on stage too, so I agree that it would have been nice to see that too:)

yes that's true 'the vampire bat' was funny specially with the nice bat present. I also like the scene when he takes a bat from the street light and loughs with all the people how are staring at him.

Yes, when he gives her the bat as a present her reaction and the way he offers it, it was pure comedy there and they were both great at it:)

  • hi ;)

this song is so cool, it fits very well with all the parts you picked out and shows how great the first horror movies where:)

I'm glad that you enjoyed this video:) I like this one as well and I was really happy with the way that it turned out. The song always reminded me of the classic horror films for some reason, so I really wanted to use it in a tribute.

Yes, it fits very good with all those horror movies from the 30's and 40's.

The first dracula and frankenstein movies were so graet. If you imagin that all the films from now are based on those. The apairens of dracula and the appairens of frankenstein. But I'm very glad that all the igor characters are based on 'fritz'. The fact that he was a hunchback, that he was bit crazy and the scene with the tourch (= candel), they all appaire a lot in the modern movies and are a proof that dwight was very important.

But of course the origional hunchback character was the best of all (and the cutest too, even if that wasn't nessesery for that rol;)

I agree completely that so many of the images we associate with Dracula and Frankenstein came from these early horror films. If only the horror genre of today would take the hint and return to making scary films with atmosphere and fun, instead of the junk that they are turning out now!

And yes, it does prove how important Dwight was, because just about every "Igor" character that you see is based on his performance in some way. But of course, he was the cutest:)
