I would guess that the career of a high-speed free-climber is fairly short. Unlike other careers, you never get to make a mistake AND keep your job!

First, Dan is a guy, not a girl. Second, Dan died climbing due to a rope failure, not due to lack of skill. In this video, he is demonstrating his skill, which can hardly be argued. Too bad he's gone.

Such a life may be short but this demonstrates the limits of human capabilities. So had it not been done then people would not be aware that it could be done.

And well if we as a species lose a few through such extreme sports then there are still 6.2 billion of us left and growing.

Tho I appreciate how the climber did it, I'm more amazed on how the cameraman did it. Imagine taking the video on the cliff with the climber? That's awesome, he's better than the climber.

He died doing over a thousand foot free fall jump with only mtn rope to catch his fall. he had a death wish.
