    Landrover is the manufacturer of the best 4x4xfar. ok? Even american Hummers don't come close to it. It is the end all be all go anywhere vehicle. It will eat other SUV's and pretentious wannabes for breakfast. That said it has one clink in its armour. that is the Freelander jeep which is advertised in the commercial and was made for the yuppie american market. and wannabe yuppie americanisers!

    The Defender, Discovery and Range Rover are HARDCORE. what are you talking about going alligator hunting. Man, these beasts were made for this kind of thing, it's only clueless people like you SFDude who don't have any idea.

      It has EVERYTHING to do with the car !
      It means - if you have a LandRover, you'll go to interesting, far-away, 'off the beaten track' places and have experiences unusual to the average suburbanite suit... such as learning to wrestle crocodiles in the wilderness !

    How many of these gas-guzzing SUVs actually are used to go offroad to alligator country? I bet it's only a few percents. Therfore the ad is very misleading. Therefore it should be illegal.

      ... Of Land Rover! They make the Defender too, THE original off road vehicle, all Land Rovers are designed to be used off road to their full potential. Guess by your gas-guzzling comment you're american, across here we use petrol! ;) lol! Its only you Americans who make SUV, Sports Utility Vehicles, which are designed to be big, un-economical, and useless at off-roading! Across here we actually have 4x4s!

      I have no problem with people selling and buying SUVs. They can buy a Sherman tank for all I care. However, I have a big problem with people buying a big-ass SUV to drive to work and back by themselves, clogging the already congested traffic, and never once drive the damn thing off the asphalt street. Ok, if they buy an SUV because they may need to go out road. That's ok. But then buy a secong and smaaler car to drive to work.

      Here is the problem with people's attitude about cars. They think of car as a vehicle to move them from point A and B, but the reality is they move the CAR from point A to point B. If everyone sees the car that way, I believe everyone would be driving smaller cars or even drive at all.

      What is the point in having a family and children and grand children when we lead a lifestyle that will leave nothing but a poluted world to them? Again, it all comes down to the attitude we people about life. They only see what is in front of them and not what is over on the other side of the hill. If people think of what will happen to the world 50 years from now and that their multitudes of decendents living in it, they will change their wastful and destructive lifestyle today.

      I have not begun to talk about high rate of turn over with SUVs because of their higher center of gravity....
