First off blacks are not big enough of a group to elect someone even if every one of them shows up to vote. Second, Obama got elected because of the absolute train wreck that is the Bush presidency and Republicans placing arguably the biggest inept moron on a national ticket ever. The first 6 years of Bush and a republican controlled congress, the market was up to 14,000, unemployment was negligible, inflation was non-existant, housing prices were up all after the worst attack ion the history of our country, fighting two wars at once and after teh worst natural disaster in our history. Low and behold the democrats take over the legislative branch (the ones that make the laws and budget) two years ago and the market and the economy in general...tanked. You do the math poindexter.

Long gone are the days of small government and sensible spending. Under Bush, we have ignored the constitution over and over again. Legalized warrantless spying on US citizens, immunity to telecom companies for participating, outlawing of stem cell research (utter stupidity), huge deficit spending, the complete dismissal of the separation of church and state, making idiotic decisions based on religious reasoning, holding hands with religious nutjobs and then acting surprised when the inevitable divisiveness, ignorance and intolerance results in getting your ass kicked in the election. Controlling the government for 6 of the last 8 years then not accepting blame for the disaster that is now occurring but passing blame on the last 2 years or for those who made decisions 20 years ago. Absolutely the most disturbing transformation of a party I have seen in my life. No accountability, no conservative economic values. Christ, a person on the ticket who thinks the rapture will happen in her lifetime and she looks forward to it. The level of stupid is just astounding. How many subgroups do you alienate before realizing this is the path to continued failure? Who have conservatives won in the last decade? Nobody. It is a complete train wreck now. As for Bush, if you want to talk about him, I did agree with about half of his moves, but, Barack's socialistic way to "redistribute" the wealth, is short-sighted at best and devistating to the US at worst!!!
