- It looks to be an A-6 Intruder,
  A sub-sonic ground-attack aircraft that, although small, can carry an amazing amount of explosive ordanance (Bombs). The A-6 has a crew ot two; the pilot, whom you saw in the video clip and a "Wizz-O" or weapons systems officer. (That would be the unseen guy with the camera in this clip.)

  I used to work on A-6's when in the marines. I know one when I see one.
  1. A-6's do not have wipers
  2. A-6's intrument panel overhead dash is not flat. It is rounded.

  We now know definitively it is NOT. So, what IS it? There really aren't that many planes that are capable of carrier landings. I work at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, I'll see if I can find someone who knows.

  anti-sub plane that is no longer I active service. I worked on Tomcats but my favorite plane on the ship was the S-3. it was like a personal jet.
