Karate experts breaking through obscene amounts of wood, concrete and ice.
If you know anything about hard body training you would know that these people practice for years.. the bones are tramatized to the point that when they heal they form an exo skeleton which makes there bones way stronger than the average joe.. do some research before you open your trap.
By tragikk 1161415814Thats exactly what i was thinking while watching this. Hardbody training. But research before posting a comment... nah.
By OOBER WASTE OF TIME 1163568820I don't think i could break any of those... my arm/leg would probably break first.
By genkidama20 1155791177that they use the ice they break on their arms and legs after? haha damn that looks like it hurts
By Neato! 1155794923imagine the force you need to brak that block of ice or concrete for that matter! their arms and legs must be much more dense than normal or maybe that because of tehir training they control their body much better and interpret pain differently! nevertheless not breaking their arms and legs is an accomplishment in tiself :)

after reading a few comments, i had an idea that most of them don't even study martial arts. like someone said ancient arts were not for street fight!? karate was developed in okinwa island. thats all they had to fight against the armed samurais. n for this clip, google "mas oyama", u will know. by the way i've been with kk for a long long time...
By richmond4321 1209256950Did you notice how the ice was seperated apart from ech other....makes it easier to break the first and then the second etc. i still think these guys have skills but i would have been more impressed with the ice being solid or stacked all nexto one another.. just a thought
By Mcc | Spitfire 1163859142I wanna see that one guy ( forgot where hes from) use Dim Mak( not sure how to spell it lol)
By Sanjuro36 1162697345is one of my Fav. movies ... i wish i can do like this ....but i wonder..should i be young to learn how to do like this ..or even people who in 30 or 40 can train and do like this things? and how many year u need to practice to do like this ?
Great. ( and its not fack ..)
If you only want to break stuff like wood and concrete with your bare hands you can try it at home. Maybe you already can and don't know it yet. The age factor will only affect how fast your broken parts will heal.
On the other hand, if you want to be a serious martial artist, karate is not for you, nor it is cool, and is mostly a way of karate teachers to make money out of parents of children that are below the age of 12. If you want to be a martial artist I recommend reading some Jeet Kun Do literature first, try one or more arts, my favs are Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, some wing chun kung fu maybe etc.
If you tend to street fighting you should combine the above martial arts with more dangerous stuff like Boritsava, Krav Maga, Kina Mutai etc.
If you just want to be cool and all, try Capoeira, or Joe Eigo's multi level moves, or even breakdancing and stuff like that.
Karate Kid has always been a joke among martial artists. Some good martial artists cannot even stand all that Jacky Chan movies that are based on all kinds ancient arts, not meant for street fighting but yet used in the movies because they are cool like acrobatics
Karate kid has a great message. These guys are not 12. They are great at what they do. Nick Pettas (the back kick through the ice) is a top K-1 fighter. The last shin kick through 4 ice slabs was done by another top MMA fighter. Each to his own. These guys are Kyokushin Karate which is the major influence on kickboxing in the world. BJJ and so on are good too. But some of the things you suggested are a little over the top. Krav Maga is for military... it kills and claims to be effective as a result. But the most effective is the one that can diffuse if needed and can scale up if necessary. I know every person in this clip and have trained with them all and they have all had their share of reality.
By Sequin 1157224141by beating hard objects until they get extra calcium in their bones, so that their hands/legs are harder then in most people. Just as bodybuilders increase their muscles by constant routines. It just takes time.
By kotik 1155802378Ok, that's it.. I'm getting off my ass and starting karate!.. Umm.. yeah.. ok..No,really,I am!
By Bloodstained 1155801306You wanna impress me, Stack all the ice together TIGHT. so the force of the first broken block doesn't impact the others by it's weight.
By hpguy 1155691323if you think you're so good...why dont YOU film yourself doin all that?! i bet you couldnt even break ONE block of ice let alone 3 or 4...
By vvbutterflyvv 1155788696I would say the people that are holding the boards and the blocks are more courageous since they receive all the debris in their face. Sometime they even receive the rest of the kick or fist in their face.
By MystiCobra 1155786036with hpguy. They just brake the first ice block. The second one brakes under the pressure of the first one falling on it and it goest till the last one.
By Tryce* 1155781779Nick Pettas's back kick through the three slabs doesn't just break one then use the force of that one to break the others. He shatters it! And the big shin kick through the four slabs at the end. Your theory is only pertially correct, but it still takes amazing speed and accuracy and penetration to get through it all. It is way more than just break the first one and the ice'll do the rest!
By Sequin 1157224425now get your ass outside, paint the fence and wax the car
By harvestmouse 1155597955Excellent style of karate, as well as a way of life. The way of truth!!
By sauterman 1155586598is this video rated so low?=(
I sure don't wonna mess with this ppl :P
I don't trust their eyesight with those little squinty eyes.
By OOBER WASTE OF TIME 1163568749Have you studied physics? For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is seen when they FAIL to break the boards. All that force bounces back, and causes some serious damage.
By Kohei Stefan 1164726106specialy in the part of braeking the ice.. how can they break the block of ice in half with a clean or straight cut in the middle.... thats fake... i can barely see that trick...
By jbart 1156168699I know these guys well, they would not dareto fake it! Too much shame amongst their peers.
By Sequin 1157224531its bruce lee's line !
