we have got way too many people in this generation that have been raised in an animated cartoon dream world, causing misplaced transport of emotion. And yeah, dogs sniff the S**t out of anything they are going to eat especially if you smear gravy-train on it. Lol.

For all of you who are unfamiliar with dogs/K9, any K9 out there can be trained on the differences between an adult and a child, I had a highbrid wolf (50% grey wolf, 50% arctic tundra) in the same home as 2 children under the age of 5 and i trusted that K9 unattended with them more than most of the people i have met in my life, Including some other parents! I have also had rotts, pits, wolfhounds, and many more, Yet i never had ANY problems with them and the kids, i now have 5 kids 14 and under and wouldnt hesitate to get another "dangerous" dog as society would call them! ITS ALL ABOUT THE TRAINING! So quit being hard on the people that do have GOOD dogs or K9s!!!

Sounds like you've been lucky, and I don't expect that you would include any little 'close calls' or 'minor incidences' over the years. But animals will be animals and I have relations that breed and raise Timber Wolves which are varying mixes of wolf and domestic, and they would be the first to say that you are simply not being honest, or at least not being responsible with these animals around young children and strangers ! And passing this 'newsflash' on to potentially impressionable strangers is also irresponsible and foolish, but then if someone you never meet gets mauled it's no skin off your a ss, right?

I suppose you are one of those types that still recommend training the wild instinct out of bears, lions, elephants, even domestic livestock: go play with a bore, after all pigs are smarter than dogs, or a bull or bronco and see what happens. Even cuddley sheep or goats...let your toddler play in the flocks unsupervised and eventually he's going to get mowed over by one of the rams, ect. Go find a Bambi to play with, it's not like Disney at all people.

I would trust my child with either of my two dogs more than any human. just as my parents trusted my childhood dog Max and me to play together when I was young. Dogs are beautiful and amazing creatures and are only have a bad reputation because BAD HUMANS have trained some dogs to behave badly and mistreated them so they no longer trust humans. You wouldn't trust people if they beat you and starved you either. Dogs will always reward love and care with love and care.

People complaining about mean dogs obviously are not animal lovers. One thing I have learned is if dogs are mean they were made that way. They aren't just born like that.
This dog is loved, you can tell, so he's showing love. I think it's wonderful!
