Anyone who isn't convinced that the fur trade is wrong, and immensely cruel, would do well to go to www. peta. org - browse the site and you will find video footage of cats and dogs in China being brought to a depot for skinning. The horror is that many animals are not killed before they are skinned - can you imagine having your skin pulled off you while you are alive? China currently has no laws to protect the welfare of animals.

first off I don't trust any bit of what PETA shows as videos. the PETA have good well dedicated members but they also have extremest. I bet the videos on the site are demonstrates by PETA people. I mean they have killed thousands of chickens, blew up 10 slaughter houses, vandalize many business shops, video taped a PETA women crushing a dog with High heels. I mean I don't like killing animals for no reason but if you can get food and warmth off of them and not waste an animal I am ok with the it. because in the wild an animal would be killed for food. but us humans can also utilize their fur. maybe you can complain when world hunger is solved.

Yes, my son wouldn't have shot this commercial if any animals were harmed. He made sure the fur coat was FAKE fur, and the whole inside point was that no, this definitely was NOT a real fur coat. He's a vegetarian, and I'm a vegan.

If I can make sense of what you tried to write, you're absolutely wrong. The animals' hair is used to make coats for OTHER countries (especially the USA and western Europe), as well as millions of cat and dog toys (ironic, isn't it?). The skinning is preposterous, and gruesome to see in person (which I have).... and it is indeed done. Do some research, to find out the FACTS.

There was some extraordinary amount of work put into this piece. The street scene was shot in downtown L.A., in a fairly raunchy area. The apartment was really well designed. The ferrets were all adorable, well taken care of, and dearly loved. The fake fur coat was extremely hot, and it was hours of takes, so pretty rough.

You might want to write to the ad agency to get the details. It was made for Doritos, and the coat was fake fur, and then the ferrets were placed on the coat and quick-cuts were made to show them dropping to the floor, then heading for their cages. It was a very hot day, alas.
