40,000 LEDs, more than 5kms of cabling and 176 channels of light synchronised to music, all sponsored by Messages On Hold.com.au
Located in Bishop Riley Way Churchlands, there are several songs in the show and it runs nightly from dusk til we get tired. It finishes Christmas Eve and a tip; Come in early December to beat the traffic - and PLEASE, park along the foreshore or where directed otherwise we'll turn'em all off.
Last year we raised $12k for the children's hospital, we're aiming for $20k and as at Dec 5th the total stands at $2,198. If you can't drop by, call +61 (0) 8 9489 1100 or visit www.pmhfoundation.com to donate - mention you loved the MOH lights too.
The track is Music Box Dancer by DJ Schwerde. Display uses $5 of power per night, they're mostly LEDs.
Thanks to every Floreat Lakes resident, Antonia Spiers, Mikey Mike "the man's man" from Project Renovations, Gerry from Allround Electrical, Christmas Kingdom and Leanne Hildreth.
Two things: First it's not a x-mas song, so it does not fit well with the decor. Two, why do you keep lighted that fat Santa Claus at the left of the screen? It does not fit either. But good job for the rest.
By MystiCobra 1228709082Its Nice to see someone "DOWN UNDER" doing something great for XMAS.-+-

but if this "project" enables you to raise money for the charity, then fair doos....keep it up :)
They state in the description that the cost of running the show is around $5 per night... not sure if that AUD or USD, but either way, there you have it. =)
By RickyTheFish 1228710940all uses LED bulbs. They uses little energy. So there won't be a big energy bill waiting for them.
By lightblade 1228695204The lights are part of Christmas now.

By westmiguy [Affiliate User] 1228400882Guys it looks better being there thn what it doeson youtube. My advice is get away from your pc's and drive down to Churchands and have a look. If you go please do the right thing drive slowly and park around the corner. Dont forget to donate some money aswell.
By Donga27 [Affiliate User] 1228398443But I'm currently in mid-America, and I don't think a 20-hour round-trip flight to Perth would exactly be the best course of action at the moment. Maybe it'll just be cheaper if I donate online, eh? =)
