Bullet Ricochet Almost Kills Shooter [13+]

While possible, this is a fake.

If you watch closely you can see the hat was pulled off with a string attached. The hat also moved towards the camera.

Second, a small calibur bullet wouldn't be able to transfer enough energy to the hat to knock it off his head like that, physics says its a fake.

I really didn't need to see more than that to figure out it was staged. Nice try.

A gun fires a bullet at a target, a significant distance away, and once the bullet travels that distance, and strikes the target, the bullet is then somehow "bounced" back at the shooter but first strikes something on the ground before it hits the shooter in the head? Like that could happen...

maybe true but knocking one's hat off with a bullet? no, it only exists in movies.anyone watch mythbusters? they tested it once and the only gun can do that is the shotgun , but you wont walk away after that

if hes hat gets hit by a bullet. why doesnt it fly back? instead it strafes left....

If this is supposed to prove how hard-headed he can be, his goal was only partially achieved.

Having it happen myself with a 44 cal cap and ball it is very possible. I lucked out because the pistol was over a hundred years old and not new tight. That rifle was at least 30 cal. Bet he could see it coming back at him too.

before ever shooting, be aware of and consider the backdrop. the only time the back drop can be ignored is when you are facing an armed individual ready to shoot you.

often times, to get the hat off the head, you have to hit the head killing the person.

this guy got his scalp glaced by the bullet,

any lower and he is dead.

When the bullet hit the target you can see its traveling time from the rifle to the target is several times faster than when it bounced back from the target and then hit the hat. The bullet needs to travel the same distance to and back for the the same time to be able to hit the hat at the same altitude ( the top of the shooter's head is on the same altitude of the target). So I don't believe the incident is geniune.

First, slow motion and pause show the hat apparently being pulled off by a string tied to the back of the hat. Secondly, the scalp is extraorinarily vascular and a fresh wound, even a very small one, let alone one the size of what was shown, would be bleeding so profusely that his hands, face and head would have been covered with blood in very short order.

if its a hoax then his face is on film to be wrenched,but i do believe it to be true,the reasoning is,when i was young a friend and i were shooting at a shovel with a 22 single shot,we were standing just in front of his camp shooting away from the camp at a shovel stuck in the ground,almost every shot we took we could hear the deep sound of a bumble bee go by our head then a deep tuck on the camp 5'-10' behind us,we didn't figure it out for a while until i looked and seen the led and holes in the camp siding,we were young and didn't know what the sound of a bullet was at the time,,its scary to think about now,but yes i believe this video,the camera person was aiming the way most would,getting the target and the shooter,like i was,your one lucky sun of a gun,,lol no pun intended

It can be clearly seen that a gun shot is heard, then there is a blast on (or behind) the target and the ground a few feet in front of shooter.

I have pulled butts several times in the marines while qualifying for rifle and never seen a ricochet. This video seems credible but I think it was edited.

to tell what caliber of a rifle it is. It could be anything from a 22-250 to a 30-06. Thing I'm wondering is, why the guy didn't have any hearing protection. Is it because he knew that he was only going to be shooting one shot? Had a string tied onto his hat and someone pulled it from behind? Put a little catsup on his head before the shot? With the backstop, it looks like there shoud be no ricochet. And, the camera was on the shooter. It couldn't have recorded the target being hit. Why? Because all the action was going to be on the shooter when the string pulled his hat off so we could see the catsup. Nice try though

The bullet hit the ground in front of him and ricocheted, hitting him in the top of his head. If he was sitting upright, you would have witnessed a death. But the angle of the top of his flat head, saved him.

He'll live... with a headache, anyway...

Yes i watch the mythbusters and i dont think this is really. Even if it is why is the is the only one shot but 2 shot sounds and something hitting the ground before it hits his head. So they are saying One Shot, Two Shot sounds, hit the target bounce back hit the ground and hits his hat off and hits him in the head. LMAO OK HE FIND OUT WHO DID IT? KILLED KENNDY LOL
