The TFL and IT band are very important to keep loose.

The TFL muscle turns into the IT band and runs down the side of your leg.

When you stand up, you can feel the IT band tense up. The side of your legs will be rock hard.

It is responsible for taking the stress off of your leg muscles while you stand for long periods of time.

To perform this roller technique properly, make sure you are directly on the side of your leg.

SMFR is far more effective than static stretches for the Tensor fascia lata and Iliotibial Band
