      they aren't protecting us from evil, they are defending our rights from people who have a different government. mainly communism. their is a religious factor, but thats only with extremists... every religion has those.

      you would say that people who indisriminatly hide bombs which in most cases when they go off have killed or injured more civilians then soilders and these same people who throw acid in faces of young girls just because they won't to go to school, are GOOD. Look up the meaning and open up your eyes.

    • not armor, per say...

      the things around his ankles are military issue knee pads. standard issue for MOUT (Movement Over Urban Terrain) combat.

      The camelback goes over everything. wouldn't fit underneath the vest, as it's a bulging sack of water. :P

      Thanks for answering. That is very cool. The whole thing looks hot and uncomfortable to wear. but its better to be protected.

      i was wondering about how comfortable it would be to have a camel back under the armor. Because of bulkiness.

    • answers....

      ... this was filmed a few months into our deployment (we stayed there a year). anxiety was always experienced when going outside the wire, but this was filmed inside the wire, while staging for a patrol.
      ... only 1 shoulder protector because supplies were short, i presume.
      ... we are soldiers, not ninjas :P
      ... and enlisted soldiers get paid garbage. if you want money, i suggest you become an officer.
