A little video scrapbook created to honor Dwight Frye's life and career.
Dwight kept home-made scrapbooks, which now are sadly lost. While this video could never replace the effort that he must have put into these cherished momentos, I hope that it may, in some small way, help to show what they might have looked like.
thank you for yet another fabulous tribute to my favorite actor. i loved the music you chose, from his time. :) it makes me so sad, though, that the scrap books he himself made, are lost. :( so much of him got lost, even the scenes cut from some of his film. that's just so tragic. i hope there's a special place in hell for the people responsible for the destruction of the memorabilia of one of the greatest actors who ever lived (at least for those who did it out of thoughtlessness or envy/malice.:P). i loved the photo of him with his son, when his son was already pretty much a young man. they were both so handsome in it. thank you for the sample of his penmanship, too. what a nice dedication he wrote...so very dwight. :) i'm proud i estimated his height properly, that he was 5'8". I'm proud of that. hehe :) see you around dwight's sites, as usual. :) tc

By Avalonia12Florie 1234635190 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove30's Dame is me:) I know, I know, I have WAY too many accounts. But when "You Tube" started to mess with my Serenadesong account, I began to feel paranoid so I created more than one back-up account for myself:)

I like the pickture you used for your new account. It's very beautiful:) he looks so handsome as wilmer cook:)
Yes, better to be safe rather than sorry. It's best to have too many accounts rather than too few, because you never know what can happen!
He was STUNNING as Wilmer. In fact I am thinking now of using that picture at all of my accounts because he looks so gorgeous.
wow you have a picture of dwights handrighting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) Where did you find that!
a very beautiful tribute!!! Are all those places related to him? He appiered a lot in the newspapers in those days.
Oh and the first picture of your trubute is so beautiful!!
thanks so mutch for making this:):):)
The picture of Dwight's handwriting also came from Leah who shared her photos of L.A. (she lives there) and The Belasco theater which she took while visiting N.Y. She found the picture of his handwriting at an auction site years ago (probably E-Bay) Dwight had signed a card and someone was auctioning it. Sadly after Dwight's son passed away no-one was sure what happened to his personal belongings (which included momentos of his dad) And it's possible that these belongings were stolen- I think there is a good chance that at least some were, because occasionally you see something personal- like his handwriting or a suitcase he owned- up for sale at E-Bay.
The picture he signed to his wife that you see here was found by me at E-Bay, again up for auction. It saddens me to see his personal things, which probably meant a lot to him, being sold.
The pictures are of places that meant something in his life. The church he was married in, he performed at The Belasco theater. The bus stop at Hollywood and Vine where he passed away, etc.
I don't know if Dwight really appeared in the papers a lot, but he did appear in them a few times, especially when he was on stage, and I included the few articles I have here, as I'm sure he saved that sort of stuff as well:)
I'm glad that you liked this!
of course I liked it:) It's wonderful that you found all that stuff.
Yes, it's sad that his stuff is sold. I hope that all the people how buy it take very good care of it.
It's great to see all those places and I'm very happy to see his handwriting:) It's great that you have a found a pickture with his handwrighting on. That's something so personal. I'm very glad that you found it and cheared it with me:)
I am always happy to share what I have:)
I hope too that whomever purchased his pictures and/or his belongings, will take very good care of them and that they realize how truly precious they are:)
I've been very fortunate to find what I have, and I'm very grateful:) And again I am always glad to share:)
I also hope that they take good care of all his belongings.
Thanks for putting this in you tribute:)
I know I asked you this before, but... What was dwight's hight again? If I'm not wrong he was 1m73. But I don't know for sure anymore.
Well I'm not sure what his height would be in the measuring system that you use, but here in the U.S. we use feet and inches and Dwight was five feet eight inches.
I apologize that I can't give you his height in your measurements. I hope that this helped though:)
