Your humor is appreciated very much. Levitron is a scientific TOY. If you will Google (Levitron) you will get more information than you ever wanted to know. Yes! the top is supported by a magnetic field generated by a round magnet in the base. The spinning top is also magnetized and must spin to keep from flipping over and being attracted to the base. The legs are adjustable to level the base. The top also requires delicate weight adjustment by small disks added or removed. I have not timed the flights, but if you have a Levitron I'm up for a challenge.

Ever put 2 magnets together and then change the poles of one of them ??
The spinning top gives it a gyroscopic effgect to stabilise it ....
It is also a magnet - North & South vertically aligned.
It is raised to find the balance point of the weight of the top against the strength of the magnetic field of the base.

Because the top will always spin perfectly horizontally - that is level, The base must also be aligned perfectly level otherwise you cannot find the balance point and the top will run off.

That's why it takes a lot of patience to set up - very difficult for some.

I don't think he used any magnets. If he would have, an attracting magnet would have simply sticked it to it, while a repulsing magnet would not have kept it in the same spot just thrown it away unless they where many or a very clearly and well thought of form but thats impossible. I don't think there's a fan blowing from below so I guess that the object is ment to spin or something with such a shape that it doesn't loose its position. As for a real miracle, well I don't think this itsself is the case of someone making it float.

I used to see this toy sold at one of the most favourite shopping centers in Shanghai (Puxi). Sure magnet is involved. He just played with the toy. Just tell you guys where you can buy it. No comment on his time-wasting video.
