We are aware of terror in other parts of the world and the plan of the war on terror is to try and severely cripple terror operations in the world today. The reason that America is only in Iraq right now is because of their links to Al Queda, the group which takes the most responsibilty for the 9/11 attacks. Saddam was a dictator in the area that we pursued and captured because of the threat he was to our country, and not only his own people. If America has so much access to oil and controls the oil wealth then why are oil prices here in the states so high? We know a few things about economics and when something is scarce, which oil is quite scarce here, the price of that product goes up. Pre-9/11 Iraqi terror had been going on as long as Saddam had his seat of power, and what does it matter if it was still in his own country and not outside Iraq, it was still terror, he's been stopped and the world is better for it, despite what any skeptic thinks.
