    well at least if its a fairly old model, before they start setting in with the new syle glow plugs, and computer controlled fuel pump. you just need a snorkal, in the vid its on the top right of the windshield, diesels run off of compression ignited engines, its very difficult to turn off diesels once they get going. im still not a hundred percent on the cj (the jeep) being a diesel, they usually come with a I6 4.0, if its a gasoline they must have got some waterproof sprak plug wires and distributer cables/cap, as for the engine, as longs as it has a snorkal and there is enough back pressure it should be safe.

      Just listen the sound of the engine, its diesel. Also, there are export models that come factory equiped with diesel engines. There are aftermarket engine swaps for an inline 4 and 6 cylinder diesel engines.

    An amphib would ride the surface of the water like a boat. That jeep had a snorkel equiped. That is common equipment available for jeeps since WWII.

      snorkels allowing this type of operation are standard equipment for military Humvees (as opposed to Civilian Hummers) too; and they function at greater depths.
