  • I have owned one of these

    I installed a double tank unit with heaps more plates into my car producing more Hydrogen than the unit you see there. It made absolutely no difference in performance or fuel consumption. All it did do is create surface rust inside my engine. The wiring heats up and big 60 amp glass fuses blow as it takes a lot of energy to make hydrogen. I upgraded the wiring, Relay, fuse after 10 minutes of use.
    The more Baking soda you add the more hydrogen the unit will produce therefore more power is needed creating lots of heat, the water will boil, the plastic lid will pretty much end up melting creating leaks and so on.
    I am not sure about different more complex units but these basic ones are a total waste of time.

    We blew up some balloons with hydrogen and threw em into a fire which done bugger all, we lit one with a lighter and yes it made a bang but nothing in comparison to petrol, Must have something to do with Hydrogen & Air mixture :s

    I got my unit off ebay where the seller had a lot of info on the units, very complex on "cd" which ended up being very different to the actual hydrogen unit he was selling. I never got a refund from the scammer, no replys to emails.
    Anyways, I hope this helps some of you guys out & hopefully saves you guys some money.

      Someone sold you a unit that pulled 60 AMPS!!!!

      Dude...you got ripped off hard.

      There are some good kits on ebay but 60amps is horrible.

      Another reason it may not have worked...is your car electronically fuel injected?

      The units we're making pull 20 amps at the most, and they are stainless steel containers, producing 1.7 litres of gas per minute.

      The mason jar type are decent for very small cars, they pull 5 amps at the most, but only produce around 300ml per minute.

      I admit, when people started making these kits...alot of them had no idea what they we're doing. A few made very good progress.

      So thats why I just sat back and let all these people comeing up with designs work out their "bugs" and then I started gathering data from all of them. Put all the best ideas together.

      Eventually we worked out the best electrolyte, cell spacing, cell metal type, and most efficient designs. The good thing is, people are coming up with ways to make them more efficient, but its taking some time. A PWM will regulate your amps but only a few people make them well.

      20 amps is the limit though for my kits though. Its about the same as a car stereo.

      Also...if you put too much electrolyte in the unit or the wrong kind,it will pull too many amps.

      best electrolyte so far is sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide.

      Get that stuff at walmart, look for "hair clog remover" that is pure KOH or NaOH or a mix of the two.

      about HHO..use Distilled water only. Spring water is not distilled water either.

      Never use baking soda as electrolyte. It will cause a brown crud to form inside.
