    I have a deep respect for all who were young soldiers in the 2nd worldwar. We cannot begin to imagine their hardship.

    Awesome footage, for that era. Give us more on the war of 1941. one big problem there was no sound. please use attachments more often. other wise emails will not bring out the clip. with out a attachment.

    the reason japanese performed kamikaze was coz of the way of life. honour or death, and they would be very happy to die for the emperor to save their country, from their point of view. can you imagine any western countries doing the same?

      During the Battle of Midway, Ensign George Gay deliberately crashed his torpedo bomber into a Japanese aircraft carrieer. The act was the first of hundreds that American solidiers would perform during that war. Ensign Gay earned theMedal of Honor for his last act.
      America operates in war with that mindset that life is precious, and is not to be squandered. Americans consider sucide a stupid thing to do, even in combat, unless it going to reap huge rewards or save American or her allies lives. Japan's Bushido religon, prevelant in the 1930s-40s, regarded suicide in combat as honorable and a soldiers duty. Japanese forces would typically attack in a "Banzai" charge once the tactical situation became hopeless. They believed that certain death in a final effort against the enemy would earn them a place in heaven.
      Some consider Islam to be similar to Bushido, but there are major differances between them and no real connection.
      Bushido followers attacked armed, military targets. They dressed in the uniform of Japan leaving no doubt of who they were.
      Islam intentionally attacks unarmed, and unsuspecting civilians. They use civilian populations as shields, and hide themselves in civilian clothing. They would rather attack shopping malls, eaterys, mosques and churches then military related targets.

    japs were so desperate to hold the US form entering the Jap home waters. Kamikaiz HA! throughout the hole war they were loosing 5 ships and sank only 1 american. and they were loosing 11 aircraft for whooting down 1 american, AND they lost 10 soldiers for killing 1 American.
