Oil currency or petrodollars are the principal region for Bush declaring war on Iraq. For the past 150 years the goal in the Middle East was not to secure democracy, but to secure resources, principally oil, for our country. The interests of oil are controlled by the benefactors of oil: principally the executives and shareholders of Exxon, Chevron, BP, Texaco, Shell, Mobil, and Gulf. Because of the huge margin on Middle Eastern oil, they manipulated the governing bodies into using covert and blatantly militaristic schemes to secure their interests. Because Iraq, Iran, Venezuela, and ultimately OPEC were preparing to change the oil exchange currency into Euros, Bush felt obligated to pursue Iraq oil. And now that we have Iraqi, let us remember His words of prophecy which hold true: "But save the wine and the oil." Revelation 6:6
