but who would have given a crap if it were? A 15 year old average american boy will get his hands on it even it was rated M by ESRB. That's because the game is designed to appeal to an age group, so the only people who actually have the power to decide who will buy this game are the consumers and Rockstar games.

Rockstar will never come out and make a statement about the above (they'd get into some trouble with the FCC and FBI if they did), but you betcha they know it better than anyone.

but how do you think they would get into trouble with the FBI or FCC? The FCC doesn't regulate video games - the ESRB was created by the Entertainment Software Association as a self regulating rating board to appease congressmen pressured by paranoid worrying mothers who think that their 15 year old son is going to grab a baseball bat and smash their friend's head after playing a couple of hours of GTA. It has nothing to do with the FCC. And the FBI has no business in this matter either.

I wish people wouldn't just assume that because a game is M rated, that companies are targeting younger people. Rockstar's GTA series was not made for 15 year olds, it was made for adults. Considering the average gamer is 28, I don't think aiming the market below 18 would gather much sales.

Obviously you fall into this catagory.
I got beat up at school UNTIL year 10.
Then something went "SNAP" and usually it was the noses and jaws of those who even looked at me the wrong way!
It has taken me many years to stop being like this.
Being big and being able to fight like a thrashing machine without feeling pain didnt make me a BULLY.
I sure have stopped some from doing it to others.
I DONT like bullies and I DONT like this game.
It IS marketed towards teenagers and anyone who says its not is just fooling themselves.
