  • DON'T DO THIS

Have you not heard of INDUCTION, Ohms law states that the current flowing a conductor is proportional to the voltage drop across it providing the TEMPERATURE remains constant at ALL TIMES

      Fire hazard

      By kklatt 1230934978
  • not

  • Coiled cables make transformers

Sorry to say but coiled cables carrying voltage when wrapped together can make elcellent transformers and induction coils which could result in electrical noise, corruption of data etc etc. Not really a good idea when you think about what could happen when data tranfer is involved.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad tidings but I thought it best to make comment regarding the possible dangers so if or rather when the worst does happen you will know the possible reason why.

Hope this comment helps save someone serious problems.

    Regards, Sam

great idea, never thought of this

  • Hate to interfere...

Cables for video are shielded against interference and can be cable tied but, non-shielded cables will produce signal anomalies when coiled up. Nice try.

    By crosshairs 1230272274
    • well...

all modern (since about 2002) computer and computer accessories cables are shielded against interference, thats why they are a low gauge (thick). They are made this way because the way businesses route their cables, all bunched up. everything except user interface cables that is. I mean mouse and keyboard, headphones etc. USB are always shielded.

    • and yeah

fake fake fake, there I said it everything is fake, happy?

      By enamus 1230391711
  • Yeah, or...

You could just use zipties like everyone else does. They are very cheap and the presentation is neater than your CD spindle.
