I hope the attackers I meet can be as cooperative as in this video

I did only a few months of wing chun (3-4) but I think it helped me; that is before this I would strike very randomly and miss; I was once attacked by surpise while taking the garbage out; before the guy's fist reached half the distance, I already score two direct hits to the chest; also, because of the wing chun punch (yeah, laughs "rabbit punch"), once you get through, you keep landing hits.
The downside of wing chun is you can't train every aspect of in a realistic fashion (poking eyes, smashing balls, throaght hits; or even normal punches (most people think knocking someone out requires extreme force, but even the average Joe can knock most people out provided a simple straight punch to the chin and both people moving towards one another)), and the lack of people to train with. (that's why if I had the time, I would probably start judo)

but the best defense is "RUN, FOREST, RUN". It works against any enemies.

Why are most of the attackers in the street scerios wearing baseball hats? Is it to represent them as "thugs". LOL Some of the movements seemed unnecessary, as far as spinning around and multiple strikes once on the ground...But overall some cool stuff...The knife defenses were not very good though...

all martial arts (i hate the word marshal arts-it isnt any art..just skills and experience)..so all fighting skills and experience r great..just ppl r crap..thats it

Actually, the correct term for this style is " Wing Chun Kung Fu ". Also the proper term for this type of action CQC = CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT.

This video is hilarious , its like saying pass me the knife. Real knife fights are scrappy and someone always looses. "When a knife is involved there is no perfect defense someone always gets stabbed"

This man can not fight just for fun with big muscules he can kill them... in wing chun first we learn to kill and then to avoid. i dont expect you all to understand but it's the true.

His moves are deadly and ofcourse the "pertners are coopertive because if they weren't they will be no more.... this guy has to learn more but already knoes enough to kill anybody in the "ghetto". i said that because many of you think that the kind of fight in the dangerous streets is "street fighting".

i am from greece and i am 7 years in wing chun kung fu association (some of you said that "i study wing chun AND kun fu" lol m8)Sure.. the whole meaning of this kind of martial art is to keep your body always in ergency and to find the true "calm" but is still a deadly art. this guy here is not in my association(maybe he is ving tsun or wing tsun) but i suporrt him.

what I see is martial art is all about dicpline.. how to read your attackers movement and to make your body always "be ready".

I've seen silat.. it's diffrent from others martial art.. 3 people attack him.. but the guy manage to take down all of them...

this is the 21st century, crooks dont rob ppl with bats and knives, they use a 9mm 5 feet away, either give ur wallet or die young trying to kick the gun out of his hand or some S**t

I could beat the hell out of anyone too if I knew exactly how they were going to attack me, and I knew the attack was coming at half speed.

I grew up in chicago and in one of the worst area, if he thinks for a sec that a persons is just gonna let him hit or do that. he's gonna died,lol. I also took hapkido and found that to be more useful than this. This is crap, i respect him but he is out in white plain jane communites. He needs to take a trip to the ghetto.

wing-chun is usefull.

When you train for the sport of it, instead of pullin of bad moves and givin kung-fu a bad rep.
