Enrichment is a very important part of caring for captive animals, at Big Cat Rescue we maintain a program making sure that all our cats receive enrichment on a regular basis. A special treat for the cats at this time of year is left over christmas trees that are donated by local stores. Watch as our lions, tigers and leopards enjoy playing with their trees!

    Thanks! The cats love the trees and make use of them all year long, something for them to do and fun to watch! The cats at BCR are lucky and we hope to ban the ownership of big cats as "pets" so no other cats have to spend their lives living in cages.

    Hey Scott that is great. You can see the delight on the faces and body language of these cats. They are happy at BCR and who would blame them they are taken care of in such a caring and thoughtful way. I also noticed their tummies were full too. ALL their needs are met that is for sure. Thankyou for doing a great job!!
