because they were all doing the most simple move, gymnasts now are actually doing difficult tricks.

  • Absolutely. Some ...

Absolutely. Some gymnasts are extremely lucky to have even a single skill named after them.

  • Of course, I forgot ...

Of course, I forgot the gainerKotchetkova. When you think that Sveta has at least one skill named after her on all 4 disciplines in womens artistic gymnastics that is pretty incredible. I dont think any other gymnast can claim that feat can they?

  • absolutely correct, ...

absolutely correct, except dina introduced the move in 1994. Svetlana introduced the same but from a gainer start (like a step out, but at the begining of a skill) named after her. Love them!

  • depends, if ur male ...

depends, if ur male, maybe u can become specialist on certain events, but if ur female it's extremely unlikely, maybe impossible, i mean you can grabe the HB of the uneven bars while standing on the floor. How could you do a simple swing, release, dismount. You couldn't.

  • The fulltwisting ...

The fulltwisting back handspring was a skill crafted by Leonid Arkaev for Svetlana and another Soviet gymnast called Dina Kotchetkova. Dina competed it first in a world championships in (I think, I may be wrong here) 1996, she was beam world champion in the same year as the 1996 Olympics, so the skill is named the Kotchetkova, even though both gymnasts competed the same skill. Just a little bit of trivia for you all :)
