Aikido Takes-Sword demo by Mario Gunter Frastas.
Akido and several other soft forms are beatifull but unfortunately did not work out in the rings be it the USA or Pride. I\'m sure someone will say well teh other forms are for self defense and killing, but it is being proven that knowledge of several forms and mixing them are working in real life. Don't hate just populate!
By US SQUID 1157205456Have there been any Aikidoka that you know of that have actually entered into either of those events? Please name them, their schools and to what level they trained. I would be interested to hear that.
By FireDiscipline 1158630866Now I know where the guy in the master swordsman video got his moves not a real good video as it is dark but this video explains what I have been trying to find out namely his style. Maybe I should check out an aikido dojo :)
By SilverShark683 1186606901This video is a perfect Aikido demonstration but wait 'till you see this guy's site, including better quality versions of the two videos, pictures, lots of texts written by him and his book that you can order anytime! If you are interested in this Martial Art don't miss it!
By jacktaggert 1157542971but did u see him slapping that poor girl.... hahahaha
By what the!!!!!! 1157426928No doubt about it!A master of Aikido during his...daily routine, with his obviously highly trained students.Fast and effective as it should be and surprisingly well filmed.
By ryback 1157024326All those throws went very smooth. Well, I guess you don't want to embarass your instructor
By Juliensomething 1156971476the 1st thing my instructor taught me is "don't worry, if you got a sword ur gona win". I concur
By welshpoolchamp 1156955536Aikido is a defensive art, so it should not be judged relative to Kung Fu or any other martial art. To do so basically means the Kungfu-guy would have to be an idiot or not take his own art seriously. To attack someone who is no threat to you, runs against everything you are taught in the martial arts. And...it's not fake, it's training and it's her job to attack, afterwards you switch positions (uke and nage).
But S**ks in real fight with a sophiscated Chinese Kongfu guy
By _Daniel_ 1156947491Aikido is extremely effective in real street combat, for instance, the next case: A huge man the size of a football player runs straight at you at full speed, no kong-fu punch or karate kick is going to stop this guy, there's no way to attack him, however, an aikido fighter could reverse his acceleration and send him flying without breaking a sweat.

You step to the side and side kick him on his way by.
Aikido is actually very effect in real combat fighting. Learning the footwork (sidestepping, look closely) alone can set up an easy countetattack.
By clrock 1156951961With wing chun kung fu you learn to counter all other styles of martial art with very little effort. A proficient Wing chun fighter will stop the first attack, there wont be a second. It`s both beutiful and brutal.
