    until I saw the "Islam is Peace" clip. Here's an idea, teach your fellow islams to love and the world's prob;ems would be 75% over. It's teaching the rest of the world that it's true, that's the hard part. Never happen. Since the rest of us are "infidels" and we must be killed. You all suck, even the peacefule lot of you.     Hi Guys!!!!

    Its always amazing to read comments about islam. They are mostly caused from people's "misunderstanding" of islam. It is our responsibility as muslims to inform everyone of true islam, for failing to do so, I apologize, for the acts of "radical islam". I apologize, and for every insult and every negative act, I apologize. However, my apology does not give credit to the demeaning, horrifying and terrorizing act of any person's doings in the name of islam. In fact, we as muslim, condemn their every act.

    I know that as a muslim I'm entitled to nothing. I might be thought of as a bad guy, criminal or even worse terrorist. I might be disliked, hated, and loathed. I have no value and my words might not be considered credible. I might be even considered brainwashing people's mind. Nevertheless, I have a favor to ask of all of you. In fact, I beg you all, each and every one of you, to give me a couple minutes of you precious time to learn about islam.

    Please allow me to talk a little bit about islam too.

    Islam is a religion that is based on peace, mercy, forgiveness, love, respect and many other good quality. There is nothing in islam that teaches hated, revenge, terrorism or any other devilish act. In fact, islam is against that. Islam teaches us to get rid of those kind of dark acts and replace them with harmony, peace, love, mercy, forgiveness and care.

    Well, what about Jihad. Jihad means straggle. Straggle with one's self to do the best. In other words, do the best you can in everything. Control your self. Deal with people in a very nice way no matter who they are and "what they believe". Always put others first. Think of the poor and care for the sick and elders. Don't try to fool your partner in a business relation. In fact, let him/her have the greater end of the profit. Always giving, caring, and peace making is the bases of islam.

    Jihad never meant war. Muslims were defending themself at war with non-believer. They were trying their best to defend themselfs. In fact, jews, christians and people with other religion lived together in harmony during Prophet Mohammed's life.

    Islam is very close to Judaism and Christianity. In fact, the biggest difference between Islam and Christianity is that, Christians believe Jesus is the son of god. However, Islam tells us that Jesus is a prophets just like Ibrahim, Muses, and Josef. Futhermore, we believe that Jesus is the musaya and will appear at the end of time. We muslims will join with Jesus at the time.

    Another "misinterpretation" is that the word "allah" means "the god of islam". I hate it when people think of it that way. "Allah" is just a name. In islam, there are 99 names for god. Nonetheless, there is only one god. The god of all creations. The God of Adam, Enoch, Noah, Hud, Saleh, Ibraham, Lot, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Jethro, Moses, Aaron, David, Solomon, Elijah, Elisha, Jonah, Zacharias, John the Baptist, Jesus, Mohammed and many other prophets that are not mentioned in islam.

    Islam, like all religions, came to bring people to peace. It came to help the weak. It came to make people happy and give them a purpose to life. It is wrong to think that such a religion, that is filled with beauty to be the cause of the world's problem. Yet, muslims are always thought to be the bad guys. I guess I need to thank the terrorist for their help in creating the impression. However, I want to make it clear that "none" of the terrorist's acts is even close to any islamic teaching. I personally belive they are either people faking to be muslims or people brainwashed by someone who uses religion for his own purpose.

    There is something I want to say to all Muslim. Why are you swearing at non-Mulism? Didn't the Quran say that you are not to swear that non-muslim so that they don't swear at Allah. How on earth do you want people to learn about islam if you, as a muslim, don't even follow the guidelines to symbolize true islam? Review your acts; Because you are a Muslim, by acting wrongly, you are hurting islam more than anyone else as you symbolize islam. Learn about true islam and start acting like a proper muslim. Remember the prophet and how he dealt with people and how emotional he was. Remember his kindness. Remember his love. Remember his humor. Remember his teachings. Remember the prophet and try to act like he did.

    I do apologize for organization of this essay. I tried to vary my topics so that I could at least give you a brief idea of islam. Thank you for reading. I hope this helped you understand islam more. I really hope you read more about islam. Ask someone that is really willing to help and who knows the truth. Try to ask more than one person on the same topic. You'll get a better understanding of it. Once again, thanks for reading. :)

      I think you deserve to know that what you said was a refrshing change. it is people like you that should have the power and the chances to express al the good you beleive in. I am catholic, but i'm of the understanding that that fact shouldnt be a reason for a devide. I consider it more of importan tot have faith as appose to having none, and i'm more then happy to agree to disagree regarding religious matters , as it can often result in unneeded bad vibes. can i ask though, why is it that terrorist/suicide bombers do so, and say they do so as an act of religion. if you dont wan tto answer, then thats fine. but i just wanted you to know that what you wrote was excellent, so keep up the good work. no doubt some small minded people have written hatred remarks in reply, dont let this effect all the good you have in you. i fear (as in evident on many metacafe pages) that there is simply too much hatred in our world - and i think this is the true root all evil. best wishes

      in any given verse in the quran, i can derive for you a thousand possible interpretation; each one is the opposite to the other. but there is only one right reasoning for the verse; and that is how it was explained by the prophet him self. basically, reading the passage in not enough, you have to search and find out the reasoning behind those verses.

    First of all, I am not a Muslim. I currently align myself with Christians though I disagree with them on many issues. Secondly if you have ever looked through the old Testament you will notice a lot worse things than what you cited. God destroyes entire cities, men, women, children, even the livestock must die. I do not think anyone who recognizes the Old Testament can attack anyone else's scripture for being to violent. Finally I find it interesting that 5:33 says anyone who attacks God. In my opinion neither Jews nor Christians nor Muslims attack God. We just call him/her by different names.

      No sir, allah is not another name, in any language for God. It is a copy of one of the many Hebrew words describing God, not naming him. If you were to study scripture, you would know that Abraham called him Jehovah- with 7 differnt surnames. He was called Melchidec when he first came to Abraham with the covenant. Look up the descriptions of Melchisidec, no beginning or ending of days, ect....
      And you missed the entire point of my post. Only in the old testament, to the Hebrew people, were there comandments to use capital punishment. And that was changed with shed blood of Jesus Christ, being the perfect sacrifice. "The Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world." Under the covering of animal blood, capitol punishment was allowed. But NOT NOW. Yes, I know there are still so called Christian governents using it. I also cry out against it. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." And even with this wrong doing, the general Christian does not look to kill. The world of islam celebrates killing. And yes, all religions have nutballs. But we put an end to them. And publicly speak out. I saw muslim people cheering the world over when the WTC was attacked. Even if Bush did it, as many of you like to say, why were children cheering at the death of thousands?
      And the worst thing about that one scripture, "Or his messanger." muhhamed makes him self a legend, makes himself an Idol. And this is not the only place.
      In order to do this, he had to tear down Jesus Christ, who WAS God manifested in flesh, and IS the very name of God. This is why you must be baptised in his name to recieve the baptisim of the Holy Ghost. Something islam doesn't even speak about. The very spirit of God, leading a man. So either you beleive Jesus, or you make him a liar. And yoou clearly don't beleive him. You have denied God, and been led astray by a power hungy pedophile.
      I am tired of the muslim lie of allah being the name of God in arabic. Satan used the word of God to decieve Eve in the garden, and he has done it to the muslim world. Read up about Melchisidec, and then read about the life of Jesus Christ. They were one and the same. I do sincerely pray you find the true path to the One God. Jesus Christ is the way, the light and the truth.
