An explosion of the weakest Hydrogen bomb equal 100
times Hiroshima. The test was conducted in the Pacific
Ocean. The explosion was under water and created a 100 feet tidal wave. Amazingly, some of the ships survived the test while others sunk within two hours after the explosion. Few years later, the Russians successfully detonated their first H bomb.
This took place in the 50s.

There were two tests in the Bikini Atol. One an airburst attached to the mast of a raft. The second one, pictured, was tied below a raft at a depth of 50ft. According to a National Geographic Magazine the amount of earth and water thrust into the air was in the millions of cubic feet. The retired Aircraft Carrier USS Saratoga, a ship over 600ft long and several thousand tons in displacement, was thrown 3/4 of a mile atop the wave and sufferd a 200 ft. gash in her flight deck when the sediment and water fell back to the ocean.

Wrong, this test occured around 1947, 3 years after the first test of the H bomb which took place in Los Alamos

Ive got a documentary where there are over 50 nuclear bomb,a bomb and h bomb tests all with footage. There were three tests here. It was called operation crossroads. One bomb they dropped from a plane, one was suspended underwater under two barges, and one was on a submarine that was in very deep water, so deep there was just a shock wave in the ocean and no mushroom cloud. During the nuclear bomb testing era there were over 350 atmospheric tests some done in space that lead to the fallout spreading into the stratosphere (atmosphere and wind currnets of earth) and spreading fallout over much of the earth. The russians tested an h bomb that was so big it had to be strapped to the bottom of there biggest bomber because it wouldnt fit inside! They tested it up in the artic circle and the resulting explosion wich is the largest explosion in recorded history (something like 50 megatons! Hirosima was only 1 megaton), melted part of a glacier and flooded a couple parts of Russia.

this seen is in alot of documentarys. plus given the year it was done in there wasnt much in the way of special effects to make a toy boat appear to be a battleship from the fiftys. and to the best of my knowledge ther were no remote controll boats in the fiftys.
