its always gona be the moon, because the city is an equal distance away as the starting place, and so since u go the same as at first, ur always gonna land on the city, or castle, whatever it was, then he removes the rainbow to trick u, and then he moves a couple to make it so u r four away from the moon, then u move four, and land on the moon, and since this is a video, theres obviously going to be nothing special about it, but still kinda cool if its ur first time

and this guy is a womanizing ASS! he only wants hot young blondes to pick him up from his hotel and he treats you like crap regardless of how well a job you do. add 12
divide it by 2
subtract the number you started with
your number is 6
it will always be half of the number YOU tell them to add
same with the card trick
lay out a 4 rows of 4 cards
tell a person to pick a card and just tell you the row.
pick them up the way you laid them down
now lay down 4 columns of four cards and
tell them to tell you the ROW again.
now that you already (should) know the card,
lay them down in 4 rows and ask them the row to
confirm your selection of their card.
then you can slide it out,
pick them up and work it out on top and tap the deck,
get it in face up and spread them out, etc...
he just combined them with his number, obvioulsy knowing everyone would end up at the moon, the scary thing is all the bush voters thought it was amazing

watching this on tv back when it origonaly aired. And for thoes people commenting on how dumb it is and that it's not magic but just Math... well yes it's math but if you want to get a tv audience involved in a trick it had better be a simple one that will always work. He did one of these types of tricks on every tv special of his that I recall seeing and they always involved a nice simple math trick that 1) impressed the mathematicaly challened. 2) let thoes that were more mathematicaly advanced have a nice little chuckle at how easy it fooled thoes in group 1 and 3) it (by means of some of the posts here) illistrates how some people are able to count so poorly that they ended up at spot's that they shouldn't have.

it works with any number.. haha what are you grade school.. he asks you to choose a number go for that number and go the equal part back.. the clue here is equall once you do that you will be at the same spot no matter which number you choose.. because you just backtracked what you did.. therefore he knew where you was right then and there, but he dragged it out to make it not so appearant.

If you start in one place, move forward x number of steps, then move backwards the same number of steps, you'll be exactly in the same place. He takes away the three starting points, so the new starting point, and where you end up when you go backwards, is the city. Everyone will be on the city. Then he says go foward 4. Between the city and the moon, there are 3 places. So, going 4 steps either direction will put you on the moon.
