How To Hack a Hard Drive to Get a Neodymium Magnet

I will show you how to get neodymium magnets out of a hard drive. (caution: this will make the hard drive USELESS. so please only disassemble a hard drive that is no longer working!)

This video is approx 10minutes long, please be patient while it loads. If it is choppy, then you may wish to pause it while it loads, and check back in a minute or two to watch it with no delays.

like the magnet idea. I use them to pick up or hold screws. They even work to charge small screwdrivers to hold the screws on their own, but the last 3 minutes of the video was you playing with the magnets and showing off some little scratch.

  yea sorry i was kinda bored at work, and i didnt have a tripod for my camera, kinda hard to get a good picture. i just wanted to see how many views i could get.

  what do you mean?
  many people want neodymium magnets and dont know that you can get them from hard drives. they are expensive and this is a cheap way to find them, and for recycling old computer parts.

  people use neodymium magnets for science projects, experiments, inventions, etc. Neodymium magnets are very expensive, and this video is showing you how to get them out of a broken hard drive instead of buying them offline.
