    someone started telling and listening to the truth about the society (whatever that is) in which we exist - not live - but exist. If we lived, if we were truly living, this stuff on the video would not case an emotional response in anyone - but it does. And the reason it causes an emotional response? It is because when we hear this stuff, we know we all have been sucked in to the private world of greed and deception that network media call news and entertainment. Reality TV – are you kidding me? Donald trump – who cares? Paris Hilton – Who cares? What did they ever contribute to the upliftment of the human condition ands spirit? I’m all for fun and enjoyment and pleasure, but at what cost – The truth? Not I buddy. I would rather see everyone get fresh water and good food and have a job they can live with than listen to the crud that passes as news and entertainment these days.

      What bother's me is that most people do not actually trust the government or the media. But they do nothing to change it and they keep watching the news even if it is propaganda. It's having an awful effect. People have become so attuned to the accumulation of material possessions, that they have forgotton what really matters in life. I think that has developed from being told what we should think is important and worthy of our time from the mass media. I choose not to live in a world that is black and white ... or in my case, red and blue.

      To the best of my knowledge this has never happened. The basic premise however is actually pretty old. There have been plenty of movies made on the topic. Most of them made after WWII. Governments saw how effective Hit.lers mass media was at controlling the population so they started using it on all us peasants. :p "Network" is the first movie that comes to mind. It's pretty much the same thing except it centers around a news station. Plus you get to hear Peter Finch rant and rave about the evils of mass media. lol

      well techincally it has. people spas out on the air as well. its just there are clauses in the techie's contracts in live broadcasts that make them pull the plug as soon as things look like they could go out of control. so instead of a rising number of viewers and thunderous applause at the end of the tirade, a techie comes in and says, "i'm sorry to break this to you, but we cut to a commercial about thirty seconds into your rant and the nation missed the end of your speech"
