this is a material called nitinol. (Nickel Titanium Naval Ordnance Laboratory). its a Nickel titanium (NiTi) alloy,
its mane property is that it "remembers" its original shape and it responds to hit and electric current. it was discovered in a naval Laboratory research.
today its used in medical-robotics enginiring aplications.

The illusion is that it appears to be a plain ordinary wire. When in actuallity, it isn't.
