steve was a great persom he cared and respected all animals, and he did all he could to ensure that they had a chance at life. he was my idol he stood 4 everyting that i believe in. i still can't believe he is gone, he will be greatly missed but will live on forever in our hearts as "the croc hunter" even though he never hunted them.

You said the truth. Whenever i watch his tv programs, always think this is not good for animals but good to watch for men. I felt he one way or other used to tourture crocodiles for the sake of conservation or protection. actually for TV show. May be he was so passionate about animals but he forgot its pain and freedom. And I was expecting something like it because he always gone too much and stupid. Sorry about his family and sorry if anybody hurt.

Zoos often name their show animals. Steve Irwin was not boring. He is among the few who would jump into the pool with a crocodile which as you can see can move very quickly in water. He wrestled with crocodiles in the wild to contain them for transfer to safer habitats. Steve Irwin was a true conservationist yet he was never conservative with his passion for exotic wildlife and our entertainment to make education fun and more people aware of his environmental causes.

Australian naturalist STEVE IRWIN has died after being stung in the chest by a stingray while diving on the Great Barrier Reef early today (04SEP06). The charismatic star, dubbed the Crocodile Hunter after his hit TV show, was diving off Australia's northeast coast filming an underwater documentary. Local diving operator STEVE EDMONDSON, whose Poseidon boats were out on the Great Barrier Reef when the accident occurred, confirms, "Steve was hit by a stingray in the chest. "He probably died from a cardiac arrest from the injury." Although paramedics rushed the 44-year-old to hospital by helicopter, he was dead before they arrived, police said. The daredevil star garnered a cult following for his TV antics, which included wrestling snakes and crocodiles. He also played himself in 2002 movie THE CROCODILE HUNTER: COLLISION COURSE and made a cameo appearance alongside EDDIE MURPHY in the 2001 movie DR DOLITTLE 2. Irwin is survived by wife TERRI and their two children, BINDI SUE and BOB CLARENCE.

Its amazing that nearly 10 hours ago, when I submitted my video, there were NO other submissions about Steve Irwin (RIP). Now that I have done another search there are 4 others (including a small slideshow i submitted). I'm glad to see that people are doing something to show their love for this man and his family and what he believed in. To make a better world for us and the animals.

He gave the best entertainment in the world and was one who loved the wild life better then the civil life! an animal lover !
Ironicly he died by a stingary which does not attack humans! what faith was stored for this guy. R.I.P man and hope you still find wild life where you are right now :)!
I feel sad for he left 2 very young children in which one will not remeber him at all! i whish luck to his family and I'm more sure their will be a memorable place in all the plp who know him or watched him!

Steve Erwin was an annoying Aussie smart arse who wouldn't leave any creature alone no matter how harmless it was, all in the name of 'nature loving'. I wouldn't have wished his end like that but in a way he had it coming.
