      it is a dolphin not a porpoise. It is of the delphinidae family. Sort of the same differemce between a frog and toad, turtle and tortoise, and alligator and crocodile.

      Actual species is Orca.

      You should be asking that question to yourself, idiot. Killer whales or Orcas are in fact the largest species of dolphins, so yeah they are within the dolphin species... People call them killer whales, because, either one, there is a mis-translation from early Spanish sailors' description, possibly they meant whale killers, cause Orcas are known to hunt and kill whales. Another reason is that they are known for their hunting and killing skills.

    young female who is not afraid to interact with anything on the water. We used to see them behave like this frequently when heading north from the San Juan Fuques Islands. We sailed on a 56 foot Maple class schooner.
