found this thing under the microscope, no idea what it is.

EDIT: It's an ostracod, aka seed shrimp. They're extremely common members of the benthic environment.

A Paramecium?
It looks like a Paramecium, but it has few long cilia in a side... Paramecium has short cilia around its body!

It is a shrimp or a crab in its larvae stage. many crustaceons (even some freshwater) go through a larvae stage.

  im very familiar with larval stages of shrimp and crabs. check out my video called "larvae collector", its a video of one of my traps full of cleaner shrimp. i've successfully raised peppermint shrimp as well.

if you look close you can see claws and by the movement of the legs you can tell it is a microscopic crab look it up
