Killer Pup Attacks Today Show Host

The segment on puppies was doomed to begin with, as a cute little dog shredded the stockings of one host before lashing out at Holt, who was holding the tiny Rottweiler pup. "Oh he cut you! Oh my gosh!" Al Roker blurts out shortly after the incident. Lester takes it all in good fun, going on with his intended script while his cohosts bravely wipe blood off of his chin.
With blood dribbling, Holt goes on to explain that the puppies are there because of President Barack Obama and his family's quest to get a dog for the White House. "Nobody's listening to what I'm saying," Holt says, before being handed a napkin to apply to his bleeding face.
"I think this is a first," Roker declares as the rest of the 'Today' crew laughed about the incident. "Let's go back to the tape," Roker said in true Warner Wolf fashion, as the crew replayed the scene to show Holt's wounds.
