Prayer is the way in which the children of God express their needs from the depths of the heart to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit; Whom dwells within each and every person, records the prayer made and pleads to the Son directly with words and intense desire that is far beyond our understanding. Prayer is powerful and it can indeed move mountains aside, only if of course the Lord deems it necessary. Also, it is a faithful act, not one lacking in faith. The Lord Jesus Christ was very clear that the prayer must be one made in genuine faith, else He will not be inclined to answer that prayer.

  • I am not a believer

    I have no evidence of god, yet I am supposed to have blind faith. I don't know if there is a god, but by that logic, I don't know if there are unicorns. Therefore I don't believe in either.

    I was raised in a strict church environment as a child, I got lost from religion for many years and found my way back. It really is amazing what laying in a hospital not knowing if you'll walk again will do for your soul. I'll pray for the non-believers as I do for everybody who needs help. I'll even have my kids pray for you also.

    If you look at Jesus' model prayer at Math 6:9 thru 6:13 you will see that Jesus who is standing on the ground said to pray to his Father who is in the Heavens. He never said to pray to himself. We must follow in his footsteps and pray to to God his father while acknowledging Jesus as the Mesia or Christ

      Our beloved Jesus said that whenever we ask from our God in Jesus' name will be fulfilled according to his will,,Jesus is the son of God, the only son of God,,he was there when God was there , he has the holy spirit of God, so he's in our God,,that's why he says that the father,the son and the holy spirit is one,,and only one.

      The Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are 3 distinct figures that have acted the New and Old Testament separately. They all however are God equally. While Jesus was on the earth he had the form of a man and hindered his knowledge however after he resurrected he again was the IS that always IS/Was/Will be the -I AM-. While on earth he stated that “no man knows the day but the father” ( because he was in his earthly form) he also stated though, that I and the Father are ONE. (If you have seen Me then you have seen the Father. ...Makes sense? God is Separate, yet 3 in one. One God, 3 distinct Figures... We are not supposed to understand it fully, but some day we WILL. ;)

    You have no clue. Absolutely no clue as to any REAL claim the authorities of your own faith make. You would think at least a quick Google search for a reputable site, with legitimate claims would be easy enough to find, but I guess that's asking too much of you. The oldest BOOK in the Bible is only 3445 years old. The Bible itself, as a whole, is only 1600 years old.

    Such a simple error, confusing the number of authors with books, couldn't have been made even by the novice believer. You've shown that simply spitting out whatever you think is correct is sufficient enough for your belief.

    You say since you've seen someone get healed, that it is the sole basis on which you base your belief that there is a God. If you believe that, then is it God when someone simply drops dead inexplicably? Your logic is making no sense.

    I'll gladly take the last word.

    It's funny you would mention everyone else on this planet. The simplistic fact that everyone believes in a deity of sorts proves that no one definitively knows what their talking about. How can you sit there and say that your religion is the one true one. What about every other religion? Are they wrong? They have an equal form of proof yet you denounce it with regard to your own religion. Hypocrisy at its best. Thanks.
    Your level of appreciation regarding this discussion is not relevant. You entered into the debate so it must have meant something. You got frustrated and covered your tracks by saying your "giving" me the last word. This has yet to be determined.
    I'm sure you meant I can "believe" whatever I like, but free thinking and questioning is what has pulled me out of the stranglehold of religion. I have since been looking for scientific proof of any religious claim, as science is the only study which derives its findings through evidence. Religion does not, it serves to detach the species from the rest of the natural world and like wise each other. A great example is this very conversation.

    A simple clarification: These are not my facts, they are the facts. If you don't like it, tough, if you want to look the other way, that's fine. We all know that seeing is believing with the faithful. Only a mind incapable of understanding an explanation would require such a visual representation, go read a picture book.

    Prayers are power, yes, very true.. You can prayer and chat with Jesus and keep u and jesus between secrets.. You will be surprised.. Very true Jesus is alive, serious.. Hes heard ur prayers and my prayers too.. If any of you all people have any kind of problem with relationship, money, heath or teen troublemaker and u go to room and close the door and pray u between the lord .. I do the same prayer daily like jesus is my best friend..
