depending on what age you are when you learn them. If you learn as a child, you don't really think of them as foreign languages, because you don't know any better. If your father speaks one, your mother another and your grandparents another, you can easily pick them up. Also, once you've learned one foreign language, others become easier, because your brain becomes accustomed to thinking in different ways. Indian languages are also not as completely different to one another (as, for example, Chinese and English are).
