It was yet another stunning first-round win for Fedor, who looked sluggish in the early going but simply saw an opening, threw one punch, and knocked Arlovski out cold. Fedor showed again why he's a legend and retained his title as the sport's undisputed heavyweight champion.Arlovski had been controlling the first round with his superior stand-up game, but all it took was Arlovski leaving himself exposed for a split second, and Fedor calmly landed a brutal strike directly to Arlovski's chin. Arlovski was knocked unconscious at 3:34 of the first round.

After the fight, Emelianenko said, "I really didn't think I would knock him out but it happened. You don't expect it to happen but it did... I had a feeling he was going to make a mistake and I was waiting to capitalize."

Emelianenko, who improved his professional MMA record to 29-1, is expected to fight Josh Barnett some time later this year. Barnett defeated Gilbert Yvel in tonight's co-main event.

Arlovski, who falls to 14-6, has said he wants to be a professional boxer. If he's going to do that, he'd better develop a better chin than he showed tonight against Fedor.
