- Yeah...
  Whichever gas is being produced here is significantly less dense than air (to counteract the weight of the liquid and the condom itself), therefore the condom floats.... Trying to think what would work as a substitue here also. H2O2 is the Hydrogen Peroxide, Descalers usually are chlorine compounds, but chlorine is coloured and denser than air, so it can't be that. Unless the gas is hydrogen itself, try doing this and then poking the condom with a match - you'll know soon enough if it was hydrogen :P
