    ... but, they killed all the ants just to see what they have build.... they have probably worked for decades to build that, and now it's all destroyed with couple tons of concrete.... Imagine that someone kills all humans just to have a bather look to things we have created....

      Of course, the hippies have to cry about it. You don't even know if that nest was populated. And even if it was... so what. THEY'RE ANTS. There are trillions more all over the world.
      And I doubt it took decades to build that colony. With millions of ants per colony moving earth constantly - I'm sure it wouldn't take decades.

      I agree with your statement but man is a productive animal and has learned many things from nature, animals and other living objects, how to build homes, transportation are some examples nature of civilization depends on learning, if scientists stop experimenting on monkeys and rats how will they find cure to hundreds of diseases that you and me will die of. I think if they used one ant home to learn how to create better cities and good life style for human race then it is worth it.

    It could have been an abandoned colony. We don't know, because we didn't see the ants before they started.

    Everyone here is assuming that they were still there.

    Idiots. The video isn't even complete. It's just the uncovering of the ants, not how they found it, or what kind of ants they were, or even what country it was in.

    Thats ants' their home.. so my very understand the people want invest this and how ant buliding soo after that done please let ants go back home and leave it alone and also be sure dirt put that coverage thats ants their home..     Yes they definately killed a couple of ants, but will anyone really miss them? Unlikely, since they are hard to tell apart, and there are more then enough 100 feet away.
    What really amazes me, is that most likely someone's taxes pay these guys for this type of sh*t "research". Man - what a useless way to make a living.

    just imagine next time an alien comes to our planet and kill us all just to study our subways and drainage system...is that necessary at all.....couldnt we use a better system like 3d modelling sonographs......or sound graph system....like used on marine vessels to create a 3d image of the ground below.
