being a 2nd degree black belt with 2 other 1st degree black belts I can see where the master would blame the holder of his boards on the first try to break with his head. However, the holder improves as the breaks go on and yet he still manages to blame him. Breaking isn't always about the power you put behind it but the technique you use to break.

Dudes, I spent years doing this S**t and most of the time the boards don't break is really because of the guy holding them. He can't give at all. Two holders are better than one. There are a lot of variables, but poor technique ranks right up there. I would give up the head butt, though, and go to fists and elbows. Then three boards should be easy, if you have enough holders or you go to block supports like he had.

Looks like MDF boards or chipwood.
Difference is, "real" wood boards are strong across the grain, but MUCH weaker WITH the grain, and thats how they can break "thick" bits of wood.
MDF and chipwood are same strength all directions, and consist of up to 30% GLUE! (Thats SOLID PLASTIC!)
Guess he'll do his homework next time before he tries again... LMAO!

The direction of the wood grain- if he lined up the grain vertically on either or both of the pieces then it won't work, because his forehead is horizontal. Again, if the boards were lined up differently then a punch wouldn't work either, especially if he uses a flat punch instead of focusing the energy of his punch to the smallest point possible.

Just one thing can give away he isnt a master. Look at his punch when he punches the boards. he doesnt know how to punch. if he got master rank he should be striped because the most basic thing a master should know is to punch.

You're supposed to yell when you start (for focus and to scare your opponent if it's not a board). Then you are supposed to yell exactly when you hit to give you more power.
But this guy's real problem is his holder doesn't know what he's doing. Watch how the boards move all over the place when the guy hits them. Bad holder.
