A study was recently conducted at the University of Maryland which showed that when people listen to music they like, their vessel diameter increases by 26%, increasing blood flow to the heart. Dr. Jennifer Walden, a plastic surgeon in Austin, adds that listening to pleasant music increases endorphins, and that laughter has the same effect to the heart.
