Worlds Biggest Ant Hill AMAZING

Don't you people know anything else to do than taking lifes away in the name of science? From rats to monkeys, now a giant colony of ants. There were probably millions of these creatures working & living their life underground. You people pour cement into their pipeline & finishing them off just because you want to unearth a finding. It's like dropping a Nuke at a well grown country. Anybody thinks my comment is funny, try closing your eyes & imagine you're one of them ants. Feel the agony of millions die around you, your family, friends, relatives, kids, unborn child, damn the whole country frozed into stone. Please, don't do such stupid things anymore. Ya'll definately have X-ray scanners or something to build those on-site images into your computers. Take those into study, not those innocent little creatures. I'm not poing a threat here, I'm just saying that to use your heart in such approaches, not your head. There are better ways to raise fundings for your research, not this way.

I think it may be slightly hypocritical to criticize this professor for doing something that actually does provide a lot of valuable information. So many people say "think if you were an ant," well think if you're you, right, and you live in your home (wow, much easier to empathize there). Suddenly, one day, you discover a MASSIVE ant infestation under your home. I mean, so big, your house's infrastructure is in serious jeopardy. Are you going to try to nonviolently relocate all those ants? I doubt it. Chances are, you'd have them all gassed. And why would you slaughter them? For science and knowledge? No, for personal comfort! Hardly a worthy cause. This one seems much better.

this is why I'm afraid that humans will not be sucessful as members of an intergalactic community.just as we think that its worth killing that many ants for research, the first time we make alien contact we're going to want to kill and disect them.
Just because we are the most intelligent species on our planet that doesn't mean that all other forms of life have no value. In fact, I would say that being cruel to and killing lower forms of life is one of the worst things that you can do. To them, we are as gods in our size and intellect, and how do we use that power? to slaughter millions of them because it looks cool and makes great TV.

They are only ants. I´m anti- ants. There´s plenty of them left. And I saw those little buggers steeling someones rice. There not so innocent. They are infesting my house right now. pouring cement down the hole is a damned good idea. I´m gonna do it. Then I´m gonna charge people to come and see it.

Don´t worry, I´m gonna put a little sign up for them to know whats coming to them for going in my sugar bowl.. Does anyone know what language they read best.

by learning their way of engineering, we manage to settle most of our problems. i can guarantee you that most of your shopping complex out there has huge round hall on the center of it. this is part of studying the colony or so. the way we learn ventilation for an example is crutial for our knowledge. of course we have to sacrifice a few but we gain a lot. dont worry about ant extinction, they exist millions of years before us and they will continue to exist

Sorry to say it guys but you 2 kill ants every week or maybe every day just by walking all over them, end flies, end spiders ...
not to forget the animals who are killed for eating END clothes.

If you happened to walk by that ant metropolis and stopped for one second near it, they'd probably swarm all over you and cover your entire body down into their lair in tiny nibbles that they'd take out of you. Ants are bitches.

THEY DESERVE IT! One time, when i was a child, I was playing around in the yard with my friend. We saw a tree stump, and decided to race to it. I beat him, and placed my hand on the stump. Within moments, ants had crawled all the way up my arm, biting me the whole way. I was hospitalized for a week because of the toxins. And also, WHO CARES! It's an INSECT! Did you guys see the land around it? It was fertile farm land, and those ants would have destroyed peoples means of income and food. So next time, please consider the lives of more important beings, namely humans.

It's only called murder if it's people. And ants don't operate like humans. They died instantly, they weren't worried about their offspring or their colony or any of that stuff, and it's not like there are billions more all around the world. Millions of ants die every day from all kinds of things. Don't buy into the PETA nonsense. News flash... bugs don't have feelings. Just feelers.

get all upset about pouring what is technically a concrete slurry into the poor little ant's house, let's look real close at one item: Humans are the only species on the planet that works to protect and preserve different species. by sacrificing a few ants, more knowledge is gained to understand their interaction with the environment, and thus create awareness of their importance.

some of you out there rate this as a massacre. i respectfully disagree, the scientific benefit of this was truely amazing and not to mention the fact that for this one colony there are countless billions of others out there to carry on.
