Köprüye Ve üstüne Kurulacak Mc Donalds’a Tepki

Kocaeli Sivil İnisiyatif Platformu Mimar Sinan’ın eseri olan Pertev Paşa Camii önüne yapılan köprüye ve köprü üzerine kurulan Mc Donalda’a karşı imza kampanyası başlattı.

Mimar Sinan’ın kentimizde ki tek eseri olan Pertev Paşa Camii (Yeni Cuma) önüne yapılan köprü için tepkiler sürüyor. Köprü çalışması bir hayli yol alırken köprünün yapılmaması için direnen Sivil İnisiyatif Platform Dönem Başkanı Numan Gülşah; “Türkiye de bütün insanların Mimar Sinan’a saygı gösterdiği bir ortamda ikazlarımıza rağmen, maalesef İzmit’teki Mimar Sinan’a ait tek Osmanlı eseri Pertev Paşa Camisinin önüne ucube bir köprü, köprüye de Mc Donalds yapılıyor. Bu köprüden vazgeçilmesi için Mimarlar Odası’nın ve bildiğimiz kadarıyla Valilik makamının da müracaatları var. Bizde Sivil İnisiyatif Platformu üyeleri olarak Büyükşehir Belediyesini mahkemeye veriyoruz.,dedi.

YENÄ° CUMA MOSQUE IS A CULTURAL & HISTORICAL VALUE

A unique sample of Sinan evidence, classical Ottoman Impire architect, its phantom is being betrayed with the constuction of a footbridge (overpass) near side of the mosgue which is adversely effecting the monument and area silhouette. The cause of unrespect is Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the whom rejected the opposition of NGO’s against the construction of the footbridge due to the location. ‘Respect to Sinan’ is an exhibition which was organized after that unlucky event in İzmit.’

It is highly possible that some maleficence has already occured on the very important Sinan monument basement during longtime hammering of footbridge standing feet. The feet location is taking place on the registered protecting area of Sinan Mosque

We call all the world NGO’s and chambers of arcitectures to protest the Kocaeli Metropolitan municipality due to his unrespect and betrayal on the historical and cultural evidences of Kocaeli. The more detailed information regarding the Sinan monument is as in the following ; Pertev Pasha Külliyesi (complex of buildings adjacent to a mosque) is one of the most important monument in İzmit. It was used to serve the Ottoman Armies passing by. Pertevpasha Külliyesi on the road to Ankara frrom İstanbul includes the mosque, the caravansaray, Turkish bath, mail children school and the fountain. The only extant parts of the complex are the mosque and the fountain. The school had lost its original form after the restorations. The main part of the Turkish Bath in ruins is protected. It is known that Pertev Pasha Mosque is one of Mimar Sinan´s work of art. The complex was built in the name of Pertev Mehmet Pasha who was the second vizier of Selim II. It was built by his chamberlain Sinan Ağa after his death.
The mosque has a rectangular plan seem like a square, a harem (the place reserved for women), double gathering place with a single dome and a single minaret. It is surrounded by high walls. Hewn stone building has three Gates. The first one is for public enterance, the second one is for women entrance and the third one is for the minaret and mezzanine. There are 24 windows on the square frame of the single dome. The mihrap and the mimber of the mosque are made of marble and carved geometrical shapes.
