  the original operator refused to make the pick due to the wind...some back up operator who never made a pick on this machine said he would. the operator is at fault as soon as he touches the controls. what this video doesnt tell you is that this footage was taken by two OSHA compliance officers, neither of who attempted to stop this pick

  Look at the far right of the video you will see a flag blowing. This crane is rated to @ 15 miles an hour wind. It was over 20 mile an hour wind and the shear wind force pushed the crane off balance. This video is taught in OSHA classes allover the country. Once the crane, along with its load, were off balance it was easily tipped over.

You're right. Three men were in a basket on another crane inside and were killed. This happened in Milwaukee while constructing Miller Park.
